Great Interest in UCLA Professor Behzad Razavi's Seminar at Sabancı University

Behzad Razavi

Sabancı University hosted Professor Behzad Razavi, a leading figure in the field of electronics and communications engineering from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). The seminar, held in the FENS G077 auditorium, was attended by academics, researchers, industry representatives from relevant organizations, and numerous students. The seminar, which attracted great interest, began with an opening speech by Sabancı University President Prof. Yusuf Leblebici.

Important Perspectives on Next-Generation Communication Technologies

Professor Behzad Razavi, known for his books that are considered fundamental reference sources in his field, presented important perspectives on the future of high-frequency electronics and modern wireless communication technologies.

During the seminar titled “A 140-GHz 40-mW Beamforming Receiver with LO Generation,” the technical challenges of next-generation 6G communication systems, particularly signal loss at high frequencies, power consumption, and efficiency, were discussed. Prof. Dr. Behzad Razavi highlighted the possibilities offered by broadband data communication, as well as the limitations it faces in terms of technology and engineering.

In his presentation, Prof. Dr. Behzad Razavi also touched upon topics such as new approaches developed to improve performance in high-frequency systems, noise reduction techniques, and multi-antenna systems. He emphasized that these studies are critically important for the next-generation 6G high-speed data communication planned for implementation in the near future.

Prof. Razavi Signed His Books

At the end of the program, Prof. Behzad Razavi answered questions from the audience, met with participants, signed his books, which are reference sources in his field, and took souvenir photos. This friendly meeting with Prof. Dr. Razavi was also an inspiring moment for the students and young researchers.

This event, held at Sabancı University, served as a significant example of the university's mission to bring international scientists together with students and strengthen scientific interaction. Professor Behzad Razavi's visit also made a valuable contribution to sharing current developments in the field of electronic and communication engineering.
